We're looking for a Fire and Security Engineer to join our growing team, installing and servicing systems across construction sites, commercial premises and homes throughout Northern England. One week you might be commissioning CCTV towers on a construction site, the next installing a fire alarm system in a warehouse or servicing an intruder alarm for a long-standing client. We're SSAIB certificated and BAFE registered, we run our own control room, and we do things properly - which makes the work varied, interesting and done to a standard you can be proud of.
What you'll be doing
- Installing, commissioning and servicing intruder alarms, fire alarm systems, CCTV and access control
- Fault-finding and repairs on our own installs and on systems we take over
- Planned maintenance visits across commercial premises and construction sites
- Completing clear, accurate records and certificates for every job
- Taking part in the shared out-of-hours on-call rota [frequency to confirm]
- Representing the company well - with clients, on sites and in people's homes
What we're looking for
- Proven experience installing or servicing fire and/or security systems
- Good working knowledge of intruder alarms, fire detection, CCTV or access control (all four is rare - strength in two or more is great)
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working on construction sites and in occupied premises
- Organised with paperwork - certificates, test logs and job records done right
- Someone who works well alone but knows when to pick up the phone
